Gam & Pop-Pop with family, 1945 (back row, left to right: Bruce, Jack, Anne, Jim). During World War II, Gam displayed a banner in her New Hampshire home with four stars, signifying all four of her men were in military service (all in the Army's Chemical Warfare Service, later re-named the Chemical Corps).
